Barceló Corporación Empresarial is a Spanish hotel and travel group, 100% owned by the Barceló family. Barceló Hotels & Resorts is its hotel division, that ranks among the 28 major hotel chains in the world, on a per room number basis (over 40,000 rooms in 14 countries all over the world).

Barceló Hotels & Resorts has an adequate product mix diversification, with a presence in the holiday leisure market (representing 52% of its hotel portfolio) as well as in the urban and business market (48%). One of Barceló's major strategic aims is to increase its quality portfolio by adding middle and high standard hotels.

Special care was taken throughout the last years with Barceló's urban hotel developments as well as the congress and convention activities, hotels with spa, golf hotels and unique hotels. European and US cities remain the major strategic objectives within Barceló's future development plans, as can be seen in recent deals such as the acquisition of the US hotel management company Crestline Capital (today Barceló Crestline), or the agreement with the British company Dawnay Shore Hotels Plc, owner of the Paramount Hotels chain. Barceló Hotels now manages its 20 establishments, located in different areas of England, Scotland and Wales.

Barceló Corporación owns also Barceló Viajes, one of the main Spanish travel agencies. It has over 500 offices around the world. It is mainly involved in the Travel, Leisure and Holiday industries, providing its own rich, differentiated product portfolio.
