About WTTC's Economic Research

WTTC is the only organisation in the world today to produce annual estimates and forecasts of the economic impact of Travel & Tourism on 181 countries across the globe. This research development has made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Recommended Methodological Framework (RFM) for Tourism Satellite Accounting (TSA), adopted in 2001 by the United Nations Statistical Commission.

WTTC's research measures the contribution of Travel & Tourism in terms of employment, GDP, exports, investment and demand. The research provides target audiences with the opportunity to compare industry performance and growth year on year, and with other destinations across the world.
