The contribution of the Travel & Tourism economy to employment is expected to fall to 3,563,000 jobs in 2009, 10.1% of total employment or 1 in every 9.9 jobs to 4,222,000 jobs, 9.7% of total employment or 1 in every 10.3 jobs by 2019.
Growth
Real GDP growth for Travel & Tourism economy is expected to be -2.6% in 2009 and to average 5.1% per annum over the coming 10 years.
Exports
Export earnings from international visitors and tourism goods are expected to generate 13.1% of total exports (PHP321.0 bn or US$6.8 bn) in 2009, growing (nominal terms) to PHP825.0 bn or US$13.9 bn (9.2% of total) in 2019.
