The contribution of the Travel & Tourism economy to employment is expected to rise from 219,000 jobs in 2008, 4.6% of total employment or 1 in every 21.6 jobs to 239,000 jobs, 5.0% of total employment or 1 in every 19.9 jobs by 2018.

Growth
Real GDP growth for Travel & Tourism economy is expected to be 7.2% in 2008 and to average 4.7% per annum over the coming 10 years.

Exports
Export earnings from international visitors and tourism goods are expected to generate 5.6% of total exports (BYR3,494.7 bn or US$1,610.4 mn) in 2008, growing (nominal terms) to BYR11,011.2 bn or US$3,229.5 mn (5.8%) of total in 2018.
