LooLa Adventure Resort reconnects visitors with their natural roots. Merrily giving up hot showers for sun-warmed ones, air-con for a sea-breeze under the bungalow roof, and city lights for the Milky Way or a campfire, visitors enter a fully local outfit built with local materials and run by local villagers.
Our natural activities burn nothing but calories: Jumping from a moving boat into a drag-net, zipline into the sea, coconut tree climbing, sailing, archery, survivor island, (dragon) kayaking, fishing, hill trekking, obstacle courses, high rope elements, raft building, marine discovery walks and beach games - we do it all.
We encourage our guests to pay a few dollars more and get involved in a meaningful and exciting community project. They happily oblige and plant mangroves, build beds, roads, houses, or basket ball fields, distribute mosquito-nets, or organize a party for orphans at Loola, just to name some. This win-win scheme results in over US$ 50 K of joint projects each year that many visitors describe as the best part of their stay.
For 2013, we are planning to build new Eco villas for sale. The buyer is required to provide local employment, and Eco penalties - directly payable into the village fund - will apply to the use of air-con or hot water
