Born in May 1964, Mrs. GAO Lijia started her career as the Deputy Director and Associate Professor of the Electronic Engineering Department of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) in 1989.
Mrs. GAO joined Beijing Capital International Airport in 1997, working in its Computer Center, and in 1999, she was appointed Manager of the IT Department of Beijing Capital International Airport Co., Ltd. (BCIA). In 2001, she served as the Manager of the Planning and Development Department of the Company. Mrs. Gao was designated to be Vice President of BCIA in February 2004. She was appointed Executive Vice President of BCIA In March 2010, and Executive Vice President (President and CEO level) in April 2014 respectively.
Mrs. Gao is a senior engineer, graduating from the Computer Science Department of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), with a master degree of engineering. She also has a master degree of Business Administration from China Europe International Business School. Mrs. Gao also serves as a member of the World Airport IT Standing Committee of Airports Council International (ACI).
